Nau mai, haere mai and welcome to our school! Kahutara School is a state, co-educational full primary school. The school was established in 1898 and many descendants of the foundation school are pupils today. We are a rural school with great heart. Set in picturesque grounds with mature oak trees, we have a very special environment and wonderful staff who will support your child’s learning journey.

L.C Scott did a fantastic job with our school photos this year - we hope you are pleased with your images. Please be reminded the order deadline for free shipping to the school is the 29th July, so if you haven't done your order yet - get in before Monday to avoid the extra postage cost.
Our end of term assembly will be held tomorrow at the Kahutara Community Hall and starts at 1:45pm.
We have special end of term awards to hand out, our wonderful singing group will perform a few items and some of our students will deliver their speech to the school.
We would love to see you if you can make it!
